Erin & KE | Romantic Naval Southern-inspired Wedding in Rome, Georgia

Erin and KE’s beautiful Southern-inspired May wedding at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Taylor Estate in Rome, GA was a blast!! These sweet cuties met in medical school at Stanford in California through a mutual friend. After putting KE in the friend zone for awhile, they started dating (see fellas, you can definitely make it out of there with patience) and knew they were meant to get married! We had a blast last year during their engagement session at Red Top Mountain, so I knew their wedding would be a blast too.

KE & Erin’s main focus was to have fun with their guests and end up married. They got ready in the morning at the pretty Taylor Estate, with many happy tears and excitement from their wedding party. Erin was a stunning bride, and shared the sweetest first look with her dad and brother. Hints of blue and blush pink were incorporated into the pretty, romantic florals from Victoria Saunders, the reception decor, groomsmen ties, and bridesmaid dresses. The stained glass from the church windows even cast a pinkish hue inside the church! Their wedding Mass was beautiful – one of my favorite moments was when Erin and KE began to weep with joy and love together after receiving communion. Erin attended the Naval Academy prior to med school, so the traditional Arch of Sabers made the perfect exit from their wedding Mass.

With many friends coming from out of town, they wanted a Southern influence to their decor and food, and opted for a brunch menu by local chef Eric Tant for the reception. Before the reception, Erin changed into a white jumpsuit, which perfectly complemented the salsa they did for their first dance. It was almost impossible to tear her and KE from the dance floor, and their guests knew how to have a good time on the dance floor. Even Grandma got to join in on the dancing! For their exit, they had their guests squirt them with squirt guns and water blasters, which was a fun and unique exit idea I’ve never seen before. Erin and KE fully embraced getting soaked, which was fully in line with their personalities! After they exited, their wedding party jumped in the lake at Taylor Estate and popped champagne in honor of them. All in all, such a joyful day with a wonderful couple, congratulations to Erin & KE!!
