This was one of those engagement sessions that makes me so happy to do what I do.

It's always a joy to photograph people I love, and I've had the privilege of knowing Cameron & Vanessa since early high school - seeing them engaged is so freaking beautiful. They chose Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park for their location, since it has beautiful open fields and they loved the photos I'd taken of their friends there in the fall.

When Vanessa showed up in this stunning white dress, I knew it was going to be a good one. A flowy skirt and bridal hints are a killer combo for an engagement session.

Cameron & Vanessa are a wild and fun couple, so I did my best to prompt them to show off the way they love each other without abandon. They sprinted through the field, wrestled in the grass, popped champagne, and danced and laughed their way through the session.

Cameron told me a few times "I forgot you were here honestly" and that is one of my biggest goals during my engagement sessions. If I can disappear and let the two of you be yourselves, the moments are genuine and the session is 10x more fun for both of you. I always want to capture your relationship how it actually is - not how it seems to me.

This denim on denim combo is amazing - I love when people show off their own sense of style. I tell my couples to bring two outfits to their sessions for a dressy and casual look. It maximizes the use of your engagement photos and gives you more options to choose from.

Okay enough rambling from me. Basically, they're an amazing couple and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding at St. Michael the Archangel Church and Venue 92 in Woodstock this fall!
