Sara & Steven met on a retreat up at Lifeteen Camp Hidden Lake in Dahlonega, Georgia, and Sara was immediately smitten. Steven wasn't quite ready to date, but finally came around about a year later. They fell in love quickly and were engaged 7 months after their first date. They both love a good joke and compliment each other so well with their personalities!!
These two cuties got married at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Atlanta, the church where Sara is a youth minister, and had their reception at the Roswell Mill Club on a balmy February day. I find it so cute when the bride and groom aren't nervous at all but rather SO EXCITED to marry each other! Since it was close to Valentine's day, there were pretty pink, maroon, and white florals from La Bimba Blooms, and the bridesmaids wore a beautiful deep red. Sara's dress from Aisle & Veil was absolutely stunning on her, and I loved the long trailing veil she wore. I was 9 months pregnant while shooting this wedding, and it was an experience that I will probably not repeat (LOL).
One of the special moments from this pretty winter wedding day was the letter/gift exchange that the bride and groom shared. Sara gifted Steven a bible she had painted and written letters to her future husband in for years. Steven gifted Sara a long handwritten letter and a St. Joseph statue - a saint to whom they had consecrated their relationship early on! Instead of a piece of cake for everyone at the reception, Sara opted to do a cookie bar with cookies from the Publix bakery. Steven & Sara were all about dancing at their reception, which is awesome! Nothing gets guests to party like a bride and groom on the dance floor and a great DJ. The couple ended the night with a confetti exit, which looked INCREDIBLE - please more confetti exits in the future!! Congratulations to the sweet Mr. & Mrs. Walters, it was a blast to be a part of your wedding day!
