Ruth & Randy have one of the sweetest love stories I've ever heard - I teared up when they told it to me when we met for their consultation!! Ruth has never been married, but was patiently waiting for God to bring the right man into her life. Randy was a widower with 5 children, and his late wife told him he was too good of a man not to remarry quickly. These two sweet humans met online through Match.com, and, in spite of the two hours of distance between them, fell in love. They both had a deep love for the Lord and found it so easy to laugh and joke around together. Randy fell for Ruth the moment he laid eyes on her and got a kick out of how "vicious" she gets during an Auburn football game. Ruth said that Randy was "a gift of many new beginnings- hopes, dreams, and love I never thought I would have." Cue the tears!!

These two lovebirds tied the knot in the outdoor deck space at the Roswell Mill Club on a chilly February day. They incorporated people they loved into every part of their wedding, which made it so special! The bridal party was a mix of Randy's children and Ruth's nieces and nephews, the florals were done by one of Ruth's dear friends Christy Jackson, and they surrounded themselves the entire day with overjoyed family and friends.

We recreated a bridal portrait for Ruth based on her mother's bridal portrait - a special way to incorporate her late mom on her wedding day. Ruth and Randy also had the bridal party carry roses and place them in a vase at the end of the aisle during the procession to honor special family members who had passed away. Ruth shared a first look with her dad, who had the sweetest reaction - I love this unique tradition!! Instead of a first look, the bride and groom had a first touch and prayer, where they clasped hands around a corner and had a little moment before they were married without seeing each other. Their reception was outstanding - from the popping dance floor thanks to Esteban from 1800 Media to the Jenga guestbook and delicious cake from Henri's. They ended the night with a LED light wand exit, though the sun stayed up a little later than we expected! It is an honor to spend such a joyful day with these sweet people - congrats to the happy couple!
