Amanda & Evan met while on mission with FOCUS together. In March 2020, Evan was assigned last minute to a FOCUS medical mission trip to Peru that Amanda had already been working on for months. Despite not having any medical experience, Evan joined the trip full of enthusiasm! During their time in Peru, they developed a new and lifegiving friendship that continued for the next few months. In June 2020, during FOCUS Summer training, Evan decided to ask Amanda on a date. During Thanksgiving break later that year, during a private holy hour at Amanda's spiritual director's parish, Evan proposed to Amanda, who joyfully agreed. They then prayed together in front of the Blessed Sacrament and celebrated with Mass. Every Catholic gal's dream, amirite ladies??

Their wedding day was seriously one of the most joyful events I've ever been a part of! Their wedding ceremony was a full wedding Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Woodstock, GA. Amanda and Evan shared an emotional first look in the adoration chapel, and then had their close friends, family, and priest celebrant pray over them before their ceremony. Their couple portraits in the church prayer garden were absolutely stunning! The reception was held at the Conservatory at Waterstone in Acworth, GA, an all inclusive venue where I also had celebrated my wedding reception. As always, the coordinators did a fabulous job, and my favorite DJ from this venue, Lenard, kept the dance floor popping! Truly, there was barely any room to move and people were dancing the entire night, which always makes a great party in my opinion. They ended the day with a sparkler exit and a fun red getaway car. All in all, it was a fun and beautiful day that I felt honored to be a part of!
