I'm finally getting around to blogging one of my favorite family sessions in 2020!
This was one of my most anticipated sessions of last year! We had to reschedule 3 times due to several crazy circumstances. I joked to one of the sisters that this session better live up to the hype since it had been delayed so long, and she laughed and agreed.
We finally got a date without rain in December and met up at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park for the shoot. I love shooting here since it's not crowded with other photographers and is an easy metro Atlanta location. It's got a ton of variety - woods, open fields, and some meadow-y grassy areas. I'm hoping one day a family will be brave enough to meet me at the top of the mountain and we can get some shots with that stunning view!
Like with all my family sessions, I spent the first 10-15 minutes with easy group shots. This ensures that everyone relaxes and gets the nerves out before I ask them to do anything unusual. The Gonzalezes wore some beautiful neutral colors and looked super cute, don't you agree?

Mom & Dad
I'm a firm believer in mom and dad taking time to take some photos of just them during a family session!! Y'all are the head of the family and it's because of YOUR love that the family exists anyway, so take. time. for. those. photos. Also your grandkids will appreciate them in the future, trust me!
I love goofy family dynamics, and the Gonzalezes were full of joy and laughter. These stunning sisters could not stop laughing and giggling, and I was more than happy to snap away while they did so. If my clients are having fun, I'm having fun, so it was easy peasy to work with this loving family.

Individual Fun
We also snagged some individual shots of each of the sisters during the session. Why? Well, it's good to update the family photo wall with some updated portraits of each member in my opinion! Also, when you have teenagers and young adults, they're gonna want headshots for applications, Linked-in, and updated Instagram photos.
Those Colors!!
Even though it was December, the fall colors were still hanging out here in Georgia. I love how warm this session turned out. We had a blast during this session, and I hope next year will be just as fun. Check out a few more fun photos below:
