Sydney and Matt met through mutual friends while playing pick-up soccer at the University of Georgia in Athens. They quickly realized they shared many of the same interests - music, soccer, and a love for cats. Despite their love for rival Premier League teams, Matt found himself quickly falling for Syd, who seemed to always be on the same page as him and who was so easy to communicate with. He proposed during a "date night" at a sweet little bridge over a creek in their neighborhood, and of course Syd said yes!! Sydney loved Matt's sense of humor, charming personality, and how easy it was to be open and honest with him.
The bride and groom are seriously two of the most easy going people I've ever met!! I knew Syd briefly in college when played on the same powderpuff team, and it was a joy to be a part of her and Matt's wedding day. Their summer engagement session in Wynn Park was a blast, so I knew their wedding day would be too.
The Atrium was an absolutely stunning venue in October, and the red anemones in the bridal bouquet were GORGEOUS - I didn't even know that was possible!! Truly all the florals by A Divine Event were stunning. The couple wanted everything to be elegant yet minimal, and the only DIY project by the bride was the framed fairy light seating chart. From sweet chocolate bar favors from Tara's Sweet Affair to the fun soccer themed groom's cookie cake from Alpine Bakery, this beautiful fall wedding was one of my favorites of the season. Check out that fun glow wand dance floor and exit too!!
