Maried and Philip's love story began online like all good modern relationships do! ;) As their wedding photographer, it was so much fun getting to know more of their relationship in the beautiful city of D.C., where they will make their future life together.

For their engagement session, I flew up to Washington D.C. and we began our session at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, which is the largest Catholic church in North America. Maried and Philip were total naturals in front of the camera, which made the session so fun and relaxed, and it was so sweet to watch their love through my lens. The Basilica was absolutely beautiful and provided some epic backdrops!

We popped over to the C&O Canal after an outfit change, and it was such a romantic spot. The bridge, the canal, the stone - I was absolutely obsessed - Maried in sage is a vision! We only had 10 minutes in this spot before I had to leave for my flight but they absolutely crushed it and were awesome at following my directions. Lots of laughter and joy between these two made it so easy to third wheel them.

As we wrapped up the session, I felt incredibly grateful to have been a part of such a special moment in their lives. Maried and Philip are set to tie the knot in the fall at St. Benedicts in Duluth, with their reception at Little Gardens in Lawrenceville. I am excited to capture every moment of their big day and to document the beginning of their forever together in November!
