This engagement session was incredible. From the very getgo, Lauren and David trusted me and showed up to this session in love and ready to show it!! The spring weather and golden hour goodness in Marietta simply cannot be beat - and their love story made me cry when they initially reached out to me.

Jennifer and David met online through Catholic Match, and their first date was a picnic under the magnolia tree on a hill that has the best view in Macon. They had both been waiting a long time to meet the right person after some trial and error with dating, and Lauren said she had kinda given up after 10 years of searching. However, this sweet couple was amazed by how easy it was to talk and laugh with each other from the get go, and found their interactions to be refreshing and fun. David had no problem fitting into Lauren's family (on their third date!!), and they quickly realized that God had brought them together so intentionally. David proposed in front of the Our Lady of Guadalupe grotto at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marietta and surprised Lauren by having their parents and grandparents there to witness it.

I'm not being dramatic when I tell you I teared up several times during this engagement session!! There is such a deep love and trust that Lauren and David have in each other, and they are a beautiful witness to anyone who is waiting for the right spouse to enter their lives. Lauren had me meet them at Sweetreats in the Marietta Square, one of David's favorite ice cream places, to surprise David. I love when couples want to go out of the box a little for their engagement sessions - it's not everyday you have an ice cream cone at a shoot! They were immediately so much fun and giggly in front of the camera. We spent the second half of their session at Green Meadows Preserve in Marietta, which was stunning and a-bloom with buttercups and dogwood trees. David had me surprise Lauren with a bottle of champagne, which they popped in the field at golden hour (so dang romantic). They did such a great job coordinating their outfits and relaxing during our session - we had a BLAST!! I cannot wait to shoot their wedding in Macon at the stunning St. Joseph Catholic Church in September.
