Klara and Will’s Catholic wedding was so beautiful, and I just love when brides use a pop of color in the dead of winter - those mulberry dresses and pink florals are just perfection! It was absolutely freezing and raining on this February day (but no snow, because it’s Georgia of course), but that didn’t stop us from getting some beautiful shots. One thing I love about a late winter wedding in the South is the potential for the early spring flowers, and the cherry trees in Norcross did not disappoint me.

Klara and her family are from the Czech Republic, so this wedding day was full of many Czech elements, like the traditionally decorated bridal car, a church exit with bells, a large group photo on the dance floor, and some delicious Ischl Torte cookies

Klara and Will got married at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, conveniently located in Atlanta, where they fell in love. This church is also the one where Will got confirmed in 2022, so it holds a lot of meaning to the couple. Their reception was held at the beautiful 173 Carlyle House in downtown historic Norcross. I love this venue - it’s naturally beautiful, there’s a good amount of space for guests, and the staff are always easy to work with. For Klara and Will, choosing it was an easy decision - the 173 Carlyle’s owners are Czech and have incorporated many Czech elements into the venue. The dance floor was popping all night, with great music from Nobleman DJ Services, and a passed around reggae hat (a tribute to Will’s late grandmother).

It was quite the memorable day, from dodging the rain, the power going out in the getting ready spot for the bridal party (which didn’t phase me one bit), to some of the strongest wind I’ve seen on a wedding day so far. Challenging didn’t stop these two from having fun and us from creating some beautiful images - check them out!
