Erin Rose and Jack had a stunning April wedding at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Austin, Texas with a wedding reception at the famous Oasis on Lake Travis in April. The views at this venue are incredible, with just enough of that southwestern natural Texas feel!
When Erin Rose reached out to me, I got so excited because I'd photographed her brother's wedding a few years back and had just loved her family. She and Jack met on a dating app and knew pretty quickly that it was meant to be. I flew in early to photograph their rehearsal dinner at the Roaring Forks in Austin, which gave us some time to practice posing for the wedding day. Any time I travel out of state for a wedding I offer complimentary rehearsal dinner coverage because 1) I'm already in town and 2) it helps me get to know the couple a little bit since we often haven't met or had an engagement session beforehand - one of the perks of hiring me as your wedding photographer, even for a wedding in Austin, Texas!
Their Austin wedding day was smooth and fun, and I truly felt like a member of the family! Erin Rose got ready her cousin's salon, Jen's On the Corner (and popped some champagne for some fun photos!). Erin Rose and Jack opted to have a private first look to soak in the moment just the two of them and allow us to take wedding party & family photos before their late afternoon Catholic ceremony. Erin Rose's father surprised her with a vintage truck he had restored for the wedding day for their exit, which she loved!
The sun set pretty rapidly after their ceremony, so we RUSHED to the Oasis on Lake Travis to get the epic sunset shot with Jack and Erin Rose. We made it just in time for them to stand together and watch the sun go down over the Colorado River - so romantic and dreamy!! Their reception was an absolute blast with a packed dance floor (thanks to the live band) and the very happy newlyweds. The night was wrapped up with a sparkler exit out of the iconic and Austin-weird entrance of the Oasis.
