Jennifer & David were just straight perfection - this is probably one of my favorite engagement sessions EVER. From the very getgo, they totally trusted me and showed up to this session in love and ready to show it!! The light and fall colors at Red Top Mountain State Park were also just stunning! I could go on and on, but first...
Jennifer and David met at their church through mutual friends. The summer they met, the Monopoly Deal game was a big deal in their friend group and David somehow ended up with Jennifer's friend's deck. She asked him for the card deck back as a conversation starter, and it was history from there! They shared a love of adventure, silliness, burgers, ube ice cream, and travel, and quickly Jennifer "found a life-long lover and bestfriend." David fell for her caring and sweet personality, the way he felt free to be his weirdest comfortable self with her, and because "she's reeeaaallllyyyy preeeeettttyyyyyyyyyy". He realized he wanted to marry her while washing dishes with Jennifer's godmother one night when he told the godmother he would do his best to be worthy and good enough to be her husband. During a crazy trip in Tulum, Mexico, David proposed to a very surprised Jennifer during a photoshoot in the garden outside their Airbnb. She of course said yes!
The amount of fun and comfort these two have with each other was immediately evident to me during their sunset engagement shoot! Jennifer smiled and giggled with David the whole time- it was precious. After dancing on the lake beach together, David brought out a stool that he wanted to use in the lake! Like WHAT?? Get in the lake in your fancy clothes?? Count me IN! We did our best to make it look like they were standing on water and they even had a little water fight despite the chilly air. Even though the sun was rapidly disappearing, we popped some champagne in the headlights of David's Toyota 4Runner, which looked awesome! All in all they were so much fun, and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding Mass in Norcross at Holy Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church and reception at the Factory Atlanta in June. Now look at these photos:
