Oh my goodness, Jane & Colin's September wedding at the Wildflower Barn at Little River was spectacular!! I had the privilege of getting to know Jane in college when we met through the journalism program at UGA, and watched through the years as she moved west to work as a photographer with KiwiCo and the Harker School, and was delighted when she wanted me to capture her wedding day.

Jane and Colin grew up in the same town, and went to middle school and high school together. They had quite a few mutual friends but never ran in the same circles besides having one class together in high school. On their first day of college at the University of Georgia, Jane was moving into her dorm. Colin came with a mutual friend to help her and they started dating a week later! They moved to California together after graduation, and in the hecticness of quarantining and the pandemic, realized they were ready to get married. Jane knew that Colin was the one when she saw how he cared for her brother and his own family. Colin proposed in Athens, GA after a 5 mile walk touring all their college sentimental spots.

Their wedding was elegantly romantic, with touches of emerald green, champagne gold, white ranunculus, and lots of greenery. Jane's wedding dress from BHLDN was perfect for the gorgeous setting at The Wildflower Barn, and I love the intricate flower detailing in the dress!! The weather threatened rain, so Jane & Colin moved their ceremony indoors - a definite perk of choosing a venue with a rain plan. We were able to get lots of portraits and the first look in the beautiful gardens at the venue. Since they wanted to attend their cocktail hour with their guests, we did a first look with Jane & Colin, so that they could get more of their portrait time in beforehand and do the first reading of their vows privately! Also Jane's bridesmaids wore the bridesmaid aesthetic of my DREAMS - assorted sparkly dresses just look so GOOD.

Another highlight from the wedding day was their choreographed first dance by William Orruck, which they CRUSHED. It was beautiful and a fun way to start the reception. In addition to the traditional parent dances, Jane did a self-choreographed dance with her mom and her brother, which was a fun surprise and a lot of fun! We were even able to sneak in some nighttime rain portraits when Jane changed into a traditional Chinese wedding outfit. The vendor team for this wedding did such a great job - especially the catering by Southern Charmed. It was a beautiful wedding and I'm so glad I was able to capture this joyous day!
