I had a blast photographing Emily and Jonathan at our engagement session in downtown Atlanta this week! The fall leaves, brisk air, and their sweet love for each other came together so perfectly. It's not often I photograph an engagement session on Georgia Tech's campus, but it was the perfect backdrop for these two, especially with Jonathan being a graduate of the school!

Once college roommates, Emily and Jonathan's love first began in their friend group, proving that sometimes the best relationships grow from solid friendships. The proposal was a classic Jonathan move—nervous yet charming, surprising Emily with a dinner date at her grandparents' cabin in Ellijay, GA. When a storm knocked out the power, he seized the moment, asking the big question on the dark stairs. Their impromptu celebration in Chattanooga added a sweet family touch to the special day.

During the engagement session on Georgia Tech's campus, the fall leaves provided a picturesque backdrop. Despite initial nerves, Emily and Jonathan quickly warmed up to the camera, turning the shoot into a genuine reflection of their easygoing connection. Lots of laughter and jokes were shared!

We popped over to a parking deck in downtown Atlanta for the second half, the perfect setting considering where they rfell in love. With skyline views and a popped bottle of champagne, even without a sunset, the photos tell a story of their love in its most authentic form. It was SO GOOD - just ask Emily, I squealed the entire time!

I'm so grateful they chose me as their wedding photographer and that I get to accompany them for a piece of their journey together! The simplicity of their love shines through, and with their 2024 December wedding at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Duluth, GA, on the horizon, I can't wait for more moments, more love, and the beauty of their big day!
