This engagement session was a definite HIGHLIGHT of my May shoots! Christa & Tyrone are truly some of the kindest people I've ever gotten to photograph. They absolutely light up when they're with each other, and it just pours out to everyone around them.

These two love birds met through a men's recovery house. Christa's prayer group got moved to the house where Tyrone first caught sight of his bride-to-be. He said that he first began to fall in love with her when he heard her pray out loud for the first time: "Her voice up until that time was very quiet and meek, but the first time I heard her pray, it was like she got 10 feet tall. I thought to myself "this girl is serious when she talks with Him"". Her fabulous chocolate chip cookies also were the way to his heart (ladies take note!!). Christa was immediately attracted to Tyrone's love for the Lord and his heart for serving others. They both found a safe place for their silly goofiness in each other! Christa totally knew that Tyrone was going to propose despite his best efforts to hide it from her. He took her thrifting, gave her notes of memories and well wishes from family and friends, and then proposed at Canoe Atlanta on the Chattahoochee.

Tyrone and Christa were such a dream - they weren't afraid in the slightest to be head over heels for each other in front of the camera, and we felt like long-time friends from the very beginning. Christa's dream was to take engagement photos at her wedding venue, The Venue at Twin Oaks in Bremen, GA, which was absolutely stunning! They danced for the very first time together, which is a fun thing I like to do during engagement sessions! No other great time to practice that first dance than during your engagement shoot! Plus, I used to coach ballroom dance, so I give all the tips if couples want them. Halfway into our session, it began to POUR rain, and we hid in the chapel, unsure of what we would do next. These two agreed to do the crazy and take photos with me in the rain Notebook style!! It was such a blast and so unexpected. We were really lucky that the rain stopped for the sunset and a rainbow popped up in the sky at the end.

Such a cool, wild adventure, which is all I could ever want in an engagement session!! I can't wait for their wedding in November.
