Alison and Jack's Atlanta wedding last fall was just stunning. Late October is such a perfect time to get married here in the South, as the summer heat has died off and there's a beautiful mix of late summer greens and fall yellows in the trees. Alison and Jack are a fun couple, and Jack's adoration for Alison just shone from every bit of him on their wedding day!
They got married at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta, Georgia, which is one of my favorite churches around the downtown Atlanta area to photograph weddings - not a popular opinion among wedding photographers, but it's true! They incorporated a lot of personal touches into their wedding day, like pins of Jack's grandparents inside his jacket, Alison wearing her family-to-be's passed-down family veil, and their homemade hot sauce favors for each guest!
Their reception was held at the Emory Conference Center Hotel in their ballroom. We popped by a local park for some photos in between the ceremony Mass and reception, and it was the perfect backdrop of elegance for the majority of their photos. Jack and Alison hired Gloria Schulz Events to plan and coordinate their wedding, and the day ran so smoothly, the GSE team was a breeze to work with! The bride and groom attended their cocktail hour as well, which left them plenty of time to say hi to their people and get group photos without interrupting the dance party. Their table numbers were all photos of the couple, which Jack said "represented the people sitting at that table" - a funny personal touch to wedding decor for sure! All in all, a gorgeous day with an awesome vendor team - check it out!
